Zhengshan (Jason) Yu is an Assistant Research Professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University, where he received his Ph.D. for the work on silicon-based tandem solar cells. Prior to ASU, he worked in the photovoltaic industry and was the Direct of Technology Center at Solar Enertech—a U.S. startup company pioneered in silicon photovoltaics. His research at ASU focuses on new materials and device designs for high-efficiency silicon-based tandem solar cells including perovskite/silicon tandems etc.

Research Interests:

Broad research interests in photovoltaics. Specific interests include silicon-based tandem solar cells, contacts to solar cells, light management in solar cells, photovoltaic system modeling, semiconductor device characterization, thin film materials deposition and characterization.
