Mr. Jerry Gintz is a senior lecturer in the engineering program in the Polytechnic School. He is active in industrial automation and manufacturing control systems technology. In particular, he has extensive industry expertise in programmable automation control systems, computer numerical control systems and robotic systems integration. His teaching encompasses primarily upper division undergraduate and graduate courses focused toward computer integrated manufacturing applications and practices employed in a modern, world class factory. To augment his teaching, stay current with technology and serve the community, Mr. Gintz assists local industry through outreach programs sponsored by the University. He is actively involved with the Joint Alliance of Companies Managing Education for Technology (JACMET) group dedicated to career-long learning for engineers and technical professionals. He is also actively involved with the Advanced Technology Innovation Center (ATIC) dedicated to assisting inventors and small businesses with effective and efficient solutions to their technology challenges.

Gintz's research interests include programmable automation control systems, distributed control systems, advanced motion control and advanced manufacturing techniques. His areas of expertise include industrial automation, manufacturing systems and manufacturing management.
