Biography

Konrad Rykaczewski is an associate professor at School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. He received his bachelor's (2005), master's (2007) and doctoral (2009) degrees in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology under supervision of Professor Andrei Fedorov. Prior to his appointment at ASU, he was a research scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology working with Professor Kripa Vanarasi’s group and an NRC postdoctoral fellow at NIST.

Rykaczewski's research focuses on the measurement of nano/microscale mechanisms underlying thermofluidic and interfacial phenomena for design of nanoengineered solutions that enhance macroscale performance of a variety of industrial applications including energy systems, thermal desalination, and transportation systems.
