Biography

Antonieta Carpenter-Cosand was born in El Paso, Texas United States. She is currently in her is first year doctoral student in the Spanish literature and culture program of School of International Letters and Culture at Arizona State University. She received her BFA in painting and a BA in Spanish Literature from the same institution in 2017. Her current research interest is to find the connections between cultural production -film, photography, music, painting and literature- and sociopolitical issues in Latin America.Carpenter-Cosand hopes to incorporate her research findings into her own painting practice.
