Long Bio
Diane Gruber earned her doctorate in American studies from Purdue University with an emphasis on the history of American popular culture, marketing and advertising.
She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in media, film, consumerism, argumentation, rhetorical theory, social movements, qualitative research methods and professional speaking and writing. She is also a faculty member in Barrett, the Honors College.
Gruber served as the director of ASU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and its related lifelong learning Valley-wide programs from 2006-2009. She is a senior lecturer with the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences on ASU's West campus.
