Michael J. Meaney is pursuing a PhD at the University of Cambridge as a Gates Cambridge Scholar. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at the EdPlus Action Lab. His research focuses on the sociology and economics of MOOCs and other open-scale courses -- how to make them equitable for all learners, and their impact on learners' labor market mobility.
He previously served as Teach for America Corps Member in Phoenix, Arizona and as a University Innovation Fellow at Arizona State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree from Arizona State University.
