Jo works to assist with the daily needs of designers in the production of creative work for both the School of Life Sciences and other departments while attending a rigorous curriculum toward a degree in Music Therapy from the Herberger School.
She holds a BSD in Graphic Design from the same school and has used her skills illustrate multiple books and instruction sets, as well as layout and publishing. More recently, she has worked in website development for both ASU and professional musicians seeking online representation. She is in love with the creative process, creative forms of teaching, and the latest technology. Arizona State University is an ideal place because of the interdisciplinary support it facilitates, it’s commitment to supporting first-generation students, and it’s fostering of giving back to the community.
She ultimately seeks to support and build stronger communities through art and music. Her larger plan is to work with incarcerated woman to empower them to re-enter their communities as stronger people.
Jo can regularly be found volunteering for incoming auditions for percussion at the School of Music, with a local children’s choir in her neighborhood and as a contributing musician for weekly church services.
