Biography

Chantal Fahmy is a doctoral student at Arizona State University's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine and her Master of Science degree from California State University, Long Beach. She received both degrees with honors and was awarded the Graduate Dean's List of University Scholars Award. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate level courses at ASU including "Criminological Theory," "Research Methods," and "Media and Crime". Her research interests include health, social support, offender reentry, and scholarly productivity.
