Biography

Dr Takahashi is a Professor of Practice for aerospace engineering in the School for the Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. He teaches classes in aircraft performance, aerodynamics, aerospace structures & materials and engineering profession. During the school year, he coordinates senior undergraduate capstone projects in fixed wing aircraft design. Over the summer, he directs the "Aeromechanics Summer in England" study-abroad program.

Prior to joining ASU he worked at NASA/Ames, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon and Northrop-Grumman. He is an Associate Fellow of the AIAA, advisor for the AIAA @ ASU student chapter, a member of the AIAA Aircraft Design Technical Committee and along with his many graduate students is a prolific author of AIAA conference papers.
