My research focuses on the intersections between disaster and emergency management, the social studies of science/expertise, and institutional knowledge systems. I work closely with practitioners to understand how the generate, validate, circulate, and apply knowledge, and to provide analysis and methods that can improve these processes. I currently focus on wildfire management, particularly within the Canadian context.
As of March 2018, I've successfully defended my PhD in the Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology, with convocation in May 2018.
