Biography

José Sebastián Terneus is a doctoral candidate at Arizona State University where he is working on his dissertation which examines the intersections of contemporary multicultural British literature, postcolonial theory and consumerism. By bringing these interests together, his work explores how consumer practices and products continue the work of colonization across the Anglophone world. As an instructor at ASU, he teaches courses such as contemporary global Anglophone literature and postcolonial literature and culture.
