Scott Williams Bugental is Assistant Director of the Future H2O Initiative in the Office of Knowledge and Enterprise Development. For current Future H2O activities, see https://futureh2o.asu.edu/.
Scott served as a member of the proposal services team at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability from November 2011 until November 2016. During his time there, he held the positions of Research Advancement Administrator, Project Manager Research, and finally Research Advancement Manager. Previously he was a Research Analyst at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he worked in the Social Sciences Division on the post-award management of research grants.
Scott has a background in non-profit administration, having served as Associate Director of the Seniors Council of Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties, overseeing the delivery of programs under the Older Americans Act, and as Transportation Division Director of Community Bridges in Santa Cruz, where he managed a paratransit program that provided 200,000 rides annually.
Scott has also been a community organizer, working on a variety of environmental and social justice issues while living in Santa Cruz. He served on several of boards and commissions, including the Lompico Water District Board of Directors, the Santa Cruz City Water Commission, and the Santa Cruz County Elderly and Disabled Transportation Advisory Commission.
