Nicholas Peterson is a faculty associate with ASU Polytechnic and brings a diverse welding background to teach the MET 302 Welding Survey Course. Peterson is a welding engineer and curriculum developer for Miller Electric Manufacturing, Co. and a director and board secretary for NOCTI Business Solutions, a professional assessment company located in Michigan. Peterson is chairman of the Arizona SkillsUSA Welding Contest Committee, vice chair of the American Welding Society Skills Competition Committee and serves on the National SkillsUSA Welding Technical Committee. Peterson is also a Bronze Medalist representing the United States of America at the 1993 World Skills Competition.
Peterson began his career in the welding industry in 1990 and has been employed in the welding profession as a welder, welding engineer, district sales manager and curriculum developer. Peterson is also an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and an AWS Certified Welding Supervisor. Additionally, he authors a quarterly e-news letter for F&M Magazine.
