I am a Senior Global Educator at Global Launch’s Intensive English Program. My current role is a teacher trainer, curriculum developer for both online and in-person classes, and instructor. I have also taught in several teacher training programs with teachers from Vietnam, Peru and China. Outside of the classroom, I have experience making connections with organizations at ASU and throughout Phoenix, interviewing/hiring/onboarding new staff, coordinating workshops, scheduling classes for approximately 75 teachers every 8 weeks, and supervising teachers.
I have 30 years of classroom teaching experience in a variety of teaching settings before coming to Arizona State University in 2011. My passion for teaching began as an EFL teacher in Japan. I have also taught ESL to children in K-12, adults in community centers and college students in Wisconsin, Nevada and Arizona. I earned my Master’s degree in Education from Cardinal Stritch University in Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I also hold a Pre K- 12 teacher certification in teaching ESL in Wisconsin. I am passionate about service to and collaborating with others to achieve a common outcome successfully. I thrive on new experiences and bringing first time value opportunites to others.
