Biography

Dr. Candace K. Chan joined ASU's Materials Science and Engineering program within the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy (SEMTE) in Fall 2011 as an Assistant Professor. She was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2017. She is also part of the graduate faculty in the Chemistry & Biochemistry program within the School of Molecular Sciences. 

Her research group is currently working on synthesis and evaluation of engineered nanomaterials to address critical issues in lithium batteries, electrochemical energy conversion and storage, photocatalysis, and water treatment.
