Dr. Deborah Gonzalez is the Executive Director of Leader Development for the Tempe Union High School District. She provides leadership and direction to the district’s administrators and teachers, leading teams to design innovative programs that transform educational outcomes for all students. She received her Ed.D. from the University of Washington in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Deborah has served as a state and national educational leader for the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and has presented nationally and internationally on building school cultures for academic success. Deborah has worked in all levels of K-12 education as a teacher, administrator, curriculum developer, and district level leader. She is a passionate advocate for excellence in education and believes in building coalitions within school communities to find solutions to challenges schools face. This approach earned her a state recognition by superintendents and school administrators for impacting student achievement in Washington State, and for leadership in developing the ASU Preparatory Academy model. Deborah has worked as a Faculty Associate since 2015.
