Mary's career spans over 30 years in project management, software development, and information technology. She has a history of working in the higher education (ASU) and utility (SRP) industries and is experienced in project and team management, portfolio management, system analysis and design, data querying and report building, regression testing, and also graphic design.
Before coming to ASU in 2015, Mary spent 15 years at SRP working as a programmer/analyst and project leader on such projects as fleet management, remittance processing, canal scheduling and materials acquisitions. She has also worked as a website support analyst, social media manager, and A/V project manager and procurement analyst. In addition she had a career in the paper craft industry working for a top-rated international magazine where she was a published author and designer with her own monthly column.
Having started her ASU career in the University Registrar's Office technology group (RegTech) as a Business Analyst, Mary joined Enterprise Technology (ET) as a Project Manager IT. She was then promoted to Project Manager Sr IT/Agile Portfolio Manager in the Strategic Implementation Office. Mary's strength is in leading large projects and programs such as the Curriculum Management System (Kuali), Interactive Plan of Study (iPOS) for Graduate College, PeopleSoft ERP, Canvas Migration, and Career EDGE Implementation.
As an Agile Portfolio Manager, she was responsible for the Provost Portfolio of projects and programs and as a Portfolio Manager (IT) she ran the Data Platforms & Insights in ET.
Currently Mary is the Director of Project Strategy & Design and the Product Owner of ET's Resource and Capacity Dashboards and ET's Interactive Org Chart.
As a mother and wife to 5 Sun Devils, a sports mom, and extensive volunteer in her sons' schools, Mary's strong interpersonal skills can only be acquired through years of working with people in many aspects of life.
