Shannon is a Program Manager with Academic Initiatives in the Graduate College and a PhD Candidate in English. She studies contemporary multi-ethnic American literature and is particularly interested in cultural specific narratives and geographical spaces. Her research examines the relationships between walking, memory, and place. Shannon holds an MA with an emphasis in migration and a BS in English Literature (minor in History) from Eastern New Mexico University.
