Anca Castillo was born and raised in Romania and moved to the United State in 1998. She lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 12 years before moving with her family to Tempe, Arizona in 2009 to pursue her education at ASU. She received her bachelors degree from ASU in Kinesiology but upon graduating, she fell in love with business and decided to go back to school. She received her Masters of Science in Management from W. P. Carey School of Business. Anca has previously worked for the Undergraduate Admissions office at ASU and also management a high performance physical therapy clinic in Ahwatukee. For the past couple of years Anca has served as the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions at W. P. Carey where she has been able to implement innovative new ideas to increase yield, improve efficiency, and develop the current organization structure. She has received her Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and is truly passionate about process improvement. She has helped to co-created the Spark Manual for process improvement along with the Director of Operation Performance at ASU and has facilitated multiple process improvement sessions for various groups around ASU. She is truly passionate about improving the status quo, developing strong relationships, and creating a positive work environment. Outside of work Anca loves to travel, spend time with her young family, do DIY projects, be active/work out, and perform. Anca has been a professional dancer/performer for 16+ years and has performance with various groups and organizations around the U. S. Her past performance experience fuels her love to speak in front of people and present and is one of the many reasons she is passionate about recruitment at ASU.
