Biography: 

Anca Castillo was born and raised in Romania and moved to the United State in 1998. She lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 12 years before moving with her family to Tempe, Arizona in 2009 to pursue her education at ASU. She received her bachelors degree from ASU in Kinesiology but upon graduating, she fell in love with business and decided to go back to school. She received her Masters of Science in Management from W. P. Carey School of Business. She has received her Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and is truly passionate about process improvement. Utilizing this passion, she has co-created The ASU Spark Method™  which is an easy-to-implement, effective method for guiding individuals and teams through a collaborative, action-oriented, solution-generating process. Currently, she serves as the Associate Director of Recruitment at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering where she focuses on graudate students recruitment, strategic recruitment developement, improving the status quo, developing strong relationships, and creating a positive work environment. Anca is truly passionate about access to education for students, helping to create innovators and change makers, and developing new and innovative ideas to help ASU continue to grow. Outside of work, Anca likes to travel, spend time with her family, do DIY projects, and be as crafty as possible. Anca has been a professional dancer/performer for 16+ years and has performance with various groups and organizations around the U. S. Her past performance experience fuels her love to speak in front of people and facilitate ideation sessions.
