Dr. Mark Huerta is a Lecturer within the Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) with a focus on teaching project-based learning courses covering the topics of human-centered design, sustainability, and global development. He is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of 33 Buckets, a non-profit organization that develops sustainable clean water solutions for rural communities in the developing world.
Mark is the recipient of the Barrett Early Career Achievement Award, Pritzker Prize Top 5 Finalist for Emerging Environmental Genius, and Tempe Sister Cities “Making a World of Difference” Award. His work with 33 Buckets was featured in an ASU commercial that was aired locally during Super Bowl LI. Mark earned his BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering and PhD in Engineering Education at ASU.
