Danielle Van Vleet is the Assistant Director of Sustainability and Inclusion Programs at ASU, where she leads the university’s Sustainability and Inclusive Procurement Program. This initiative drives ASU's mission to advance sustainability and inclusion through two key focus areas: in-reach and outreach. Internally, the program provides sustainable purchasing guidance, guided buying tools, educational resources, and specialized consulting services to empower ASU departments to make informed, sustainable, and inclusive purchasing decisions. Externally, the program engages with suppliers to align with ASU’s sustainability values, supports strategic sourcing to prioritize sustainable products and services, and fosters supplier reporting, engagement, inclusion, and access.
In addition to her role at ASU, Danielle serves on the boards of WBEC-West and PSWMSDC. Danielle is the co-founder and lead of the HESDF (Higher Education Supplier Engagement Forum), where ASU and 15 other universities exchange best and next practices in supplier inclusion, development, and engagement.
Danielle holds an MBA from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business with concentrations in Leadership, Supply Chain, and Data Analytics and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
