David Frakes

Biography

David Frakes joined Arizona State University in spring 2008. He is the director of the Image Processing Applications Laboratory. 

He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and master’s degrees in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also earned a doctorate in bioengineering and performed postdoctoral work. 

Frakes is currently on leave from ASU serving as a technical program lead in the Advanced Technologies and Projects (ATAP) Group at Google.
