Biography

Kayla Elizondo joined the staff in the School of Arts, Media + Engineering after earning her BA and MA degrees at Arizona State University. Following her Bachelor’s degree in English, she pursued her Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Digital Media and Literacy. In graduate school, Kayla’s research focused on reinventing the way digital technologies assist college writing and resulted in the creation of a media-rich English 101 course. 

During her time as a student with Arizona State University, Kayla held positions as a student worker for the School of Arts, Media + Engineering and as a writing tutor for ASU’s Student Success Center. Aside from researching the latest in Cosmology, Kayla enjoys advocating the use of the Oxford comma, painting, and beading.

Digital media, literacy, composition, creative writing, technology, education.
