After having worked at Scottsdale Community College and Mesa Community College for a few years, I started working at the International Students and Scholars Center in August of 2014 and I have been an International Student Advisor since February 2015.
As a Lead International Student Advisor, I am responsible to provide expertise on various international matters and serve as an advocate and resource on all international issues and assist international students in every way possible to make their cultural and academic transition smooth. I advise international students on cultural adjustment, immigration regulations, academic, financial and personal concerns.
I was born and raised in East Germany and I was 8 when the Berlin wall came down. I grew up in a small town on the border to Poland about 90 min from Berlin. I came to the U.S. when I was 20 on an exchange visitor visa. I ended up returning to Arizona a few years later to go to school. I have travelled across most of Europe when I was younger and visited almost half the states in the United States. I love baking for fun and stress relief and I always try out new recipes.
