Biography:

Born and raised in South Phoenix, Arizona, I am a proud first generation Latino and Sun Devil Alum, and truly enjoy serving as an Academic Success Specialist for the College of Intergrative Sciences and Arts.

I have spent most of my collegiate and professional years working with students, schools, and communities to strengthen all-around educational support, in hopes of developing the next young leaders of the future.

From mid-2017 to mid-2018, I spent a year teaching abroad in Madrid, Spain as an English Language and Cultural Assistant at a public Elementary School. Aside from teaching, I was blessed to visit 15 countries and over 30 cities in my time there, where I met people from all walks of life and cultures. Before this, I worked in the financial services industry for two years. This equipped me with the ability to educate and help clients save money on their mortgage, while also providing me the financial resources for my European experience. Prior to this, I was a college success adviser with College Success Arizona. I worked with over 60 talented and high achieving college students, including ASU, on a 1:1 basis, helping to coach and mentor them to reach their academic, professional, and personal goals.

My first professional role post-graduation was here at Arizona State University, as a Recruitment Specialist: from recruiting and giving public speaking engagements in front of hundreds of students and family members all over the valley, to providing 1:1 counseling and advising support through the application process.

Overall, I loved my ASU experience as a student, and feel blessed to be in a position where I can not only pay it forward in my current role, but every opportunity I receive outside of it.
