Biography

Marcus Herrmann is an associate professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. His areas of expertise include fluid mechanics; modeling and numerical simulation of multiphase flows; model development and validation for atomization processes in turbulent multiphase flows; and numerical methods for discontinuous interfaces.

Herrmann was a visiting scientist at the University of Technology Eindhoven, Netherlands in 2001 before joining the Center for Turbulence Research (CTR) at Stanford as a postdoctoral fellow in 2002. Since 2004, he is a research associate both at CTR and the Center for Integrated Turbulence Simulations.
