Laura (Petrolle) Clemons has earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Yale University, two master's degrees in counseling and counseling psychology from Columbia University and a doctorate in counseling psychology from Arizona State University. Her research has been focused in counselor training and health psychology, with specific attention to counselor competency, emotional intelligence, resiliency, interpersonal relationships and predictors of life satisfaction. She has designed and instructed a number of courses at ASU both on-the-ground and in-person. Most recently, she designed an emotional intelligence course based on her dissertation research and work. Outside of these academic pursuits, Clemons is practiced across varying disciplines inclusive of yet not limited to neuropsychology, forensic psychology, career development and play therapy. When Clemons is not teaching, practicing or researching psychology, you can find her chasing her toddlers or practicing yoga in an attempt to offset chasing her toddlers.
