Interests also include assessment of peer networks. Teaching activities emphasize gender development, theories of child development, and human development.

Dr. Martin is one of the Executive Directors (with Dr. Fabes, Dr. Hanish, Dr. Updegraff) working with a team of researchers on the Sanford Harmony Project, which is a large scale curriculum development project focused on improving gender relationships among children and adolescents. To learn more about this project, visit the Sanford Harmony webpage at http://sanfordharmonyprogram.org.

Dr. Martin is one of the Executive Directors (with Dr. Fabes and Dr. Hanish) on the Lives of Girls and Boys Enterprise, which involves a group of researchers interested in exploring questions related to promoting positive gender relationships. To learn more about this project, visit the Lives webpage at http://www.livesofgirlsandboys.org.

One of Dr. Martin's research projects is a federally funded study of children's adjustment to school: The Understanding School Success (USS) project, of which she is a principal investigator. For more information on the USS project, go to the USS webpage at http://www.asu.edu/uss.
