The interdisciplinary Justice and Social Inquiry program focuses on social justice and the historical, cultural and social forces that shape our society. One of the nation’s most comprehensive programs in justice studies, our faculty and students study a widerange of justice topics including law and policy, economics, youth, environmental justice, human rights, democracy and education among many others.
Justice and Social Inquiry is part of the School of Social Transformation, home to five interdisciplinary fields of study. We pursue social justice by studying gender, race and class and encouraging our students and faculty to find just solutions to complex social problems.
