The Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy is a research and training unit within the College of Public Service & Community Solutions at Arizona State University, and a resource for government agencies and organizations that seek to improve policies, practices, and implementation of programs that support people affected by behavioral health disorders. Our mission is to build organizational effectiveness in systems that provide human services, and help find solutions to the challenges brought on by limited access to behavioral healthcare.

Through applied research and problem resolution that is enhanced by the scope of resources available at a major research university, publicly funded healthcare, child welfare, criminal justice and correctional organizations are able to access the latest evidence supported practices and implementation methods. This focus on linking research and evaluation with training and change capacity helps strengthen and enrich the lives of Arizona families and individuals who struggle to overcome mental illness and substance abuse, and serves as the foundation for our student engagement, in-service education, and professional development programs.
